Compatible with Picatinny Rails – This part can be mounted on Picatinny rails. Rear Sight Elevation Adjustable – Rear sight elevation can be adjusted for range. Rear Sight Windage Adjustable – Rear sight can be adjusted for windage. There is a small hole for aiming in the sight post, used for more accurate fire and not rapid fire typically. Rear Peep Sight – Sight is of a peep design. The sight has adjustments for windage and elevation, as well as two different peep sights to choose from. Built into the rear of the handle is an adjustable rear sight. The carry handle is meant to go on Mil-Spec picatinny rails and mounts with adjustable screws. Unless you are using an A2 Carry Handle for your upper, most backup Iron Sights are just attached with an Allen wrench. As a machinist, I can't improve anything on the PSAs to make them more Colt-like they are already there. 
Other than that, without interchanging all the parts, or doing metallurgy tests, I'm calling these "identical." Granted, PSA may be pulling from multiple vendors, and some customers may have gotten lemons, but I'll take my chances. Also, the sight aperture on the the Colt is smaller, which I do prefer. I modified the originals, which were identical to the Colt's. You've probably noticed that the two PSA handles have smaller knobs. For any of those interested in machine work, attached is an A2 front sight adapter for a LaFrance inspired 9mm I'm building.
The Colt and middle PSA are already sighted in, so I don't want to take them apart. What is a good test to see how the $70 PSA handles stack up to the Colts? (Sorry for the big pics.)
